Job Description Design and develop new mechanical solutions for specialized electronic products and assemblies. Lead and participate in technical design reviews throughout the product lifecycle. Develop product requirements, specifications, timelines, and project plans. Conduct feasibility assessments and support new product development initiatives. Create and test prototypes for validation, customer demonstrations, and product enhancements. Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions. Produce and maintain detailed engineering drawings, documentation, and Bills of Materials using CAD software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, product management, suppliers, and external partners. Support verification and validation testing activities and analyze test results. Implement design changes and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Track project progress, budgets, deliverables, and resource requirements. Present project updates and technical findings to internal stakeholders. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interns. Support customer and business development teams with technical expertise when required. Ensure products and processes meet quality, regulatory, and company standards. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical design or product development experience. Strong experience with 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks. Ability to create technical drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation. Experience developing and testing prototypes and supporting new product introductions. Comfortable working in a cross-functional engineering environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Experience working within quality-driven manufacturing environments preferred. Familiarity with military specifications, ISO/AS9100 quality systems, or lean manufacturing methodologies would be advantageous.
