Full-Time, Exempt Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Process Engineer with direct experience designing, sizing, and applying industrial process vacuum systems. This role will serve as a technical expert for vacuum technologies including ejectors, eductors, liquid ring vacuum pumps, condensers, and hybrid vacuum systems. The position will support application engineering, customer requirements, proposal development, system troubleshooting, and product improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience working with custom-engineered process equipment and will be comfortable evaluating technical requirements and developing complete vacuum system solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, size, select, and specify industrial process vacuum equipment and systems.
• Serve as a technical resource for:
• Vacuum ejectors
• Eductors
• Liquid ring vacuum pumps
• Hybrid vacuum systems
• Surface and barometric condensers
• Related auxiliary equipment
• Review customer RFQs, process conditions, technical specifications, and performance requirements.
• Determine appropriate equipment and system configurations based on operating conditions.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
• Develop technical solutions capable of meeting performance guarantees.
• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and debottlenecking of existing vacuum systems.
• Evaluate operating data and recommend equipment or process improvements.
• Read, review, and develop PFDs and P&IDs.
• Support development of technical proposals, equipment descriptions, scope definitions, and performance criteria.
• Work with sales, engineering, and customers to clarify technical requirements.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical presentations, and site visits as needed.
• Support system startup, commissioning, testing, and performance validation.
• Assist with development of standardized and modular vacuum system designs.
• Help improve engineering sizing methods, technical documentation, and application guidelines.
• Monitor industry developments related to process vacuum technology, separation systems, and energy optimization. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with industrial process vacuum systems.
• Hands-on experience with the design, sizing, selection, or application of:
• Vacuum ejectors
• Eductors
• Liquid ring vacuum pumps
• Hybrid vacuum systems
• Strong understanding of condensers used in vacuum applications, including surface and barometric condensers.
• Ability to read and develop PFDs and P&IDs.
• Strong process and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience reviewing customer specifications and technical requirements.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working directly with customers in a technical or applications engineering capacity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and technical priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 10%. Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Experience with custom-engineered capital equipment.
• Background in application engineering, proposal engineering, or technical sales support.
• Experience developing equipment specifications and performance guarantees.
• Experience with system commissioning, startup, or field troubleshooting.
