Akkodis is seeking a Design Release Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will lead the design and release of frame-mounted structural components while resolving durability, assembly, and functional issues throughout the product lifecycle.

Rate Range:

$35/Hour to $36/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Design Release Engineer Responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and release structural underbody components such as frame mounts, spare tire winches, tow hooks, and related systems for passenger truck programs. Create and modify 3D CAD models using CATIA V5/V6 and 3DX while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and vehicle requirements. Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet durability, crash, packaging, thermal management, and manufacturing objectives. Analyze and resolve durability, assembly, and functional issues through engineering validation, CAE interpretation, and root cause analysis. Apply engineering quality processes including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, engineering specifications, and failure mode prevention methodologies. Drive cost reduction, warranty improvements, and continuous product enhancements while mentoring peers and supporting technical knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive Frame/Structures Design & Release Engineering. Strong proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or 3DX, including 3D modeling, CAD design, and product development. Experience with structural component design, engineering analysis, DFMEA/PFMEA, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust and cost-effective vehicle solutions. Pay Details:
