What You'll Do as a
Field Engineer Trainee:
Support project communication, coordination, logistics, scheduling, and reporting activities at assigned job sitesCoordinate daily project activities with customers, owners, subcontractors, and internal departmentsLearn field construction layouts, materials, equipment, assemblies, and project processesTrack and coordinate project supplies, tools, equipment, rentals, and material inventoriesAssist with project scheduling, quality inspections, safety audits, reporting, and documentationSupport shipping, receiving, and inventory control activitiesReview and track weld maps and other quality control documentationParticipate in and support jobsite safety meetings and compliance initiativesMonitor third-party resources and contractors, including specialty labor and site support servicesTravel to project locations throughout the United States for both short-term and long-term assignments What You Need to Bring to the
Field Engineer Trainee Role:
Associate degree or two-year technical education program preferredRelevant industrial construction or field experience may be considered in place of formal educationAbility and willingness to travel extensively and work at project sites nationwideStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft ProjectValid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the U.S.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracyFlexible mindset and willingness to take on new responsibilities as business needs evolveCommitment to teamwork, safety, and delivering exceptional customer service #SMNCareersReady to Apply?
