This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on mechanical engineer who enjoys developing real-world products and wants to work on next-generation unmanned vehicles and advanced electro-mechanical systems. You'll work alongside a collaborative engineering team designing, prototyping, testing, and launching mission-critical products that support national defense. Manufacturing Design Engineer Benefits Competitive base salary Quarterly performance bonus Relocation assistance available Comprehensive healthcare and benefits package 401(k) with company contribution Opportunity to work on cutting-edge unmanned vehicle and defense technologies Stable, growing organization with long-term career advancement opportunities Manufacturing Design Engineer Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) 2- 5 years professional design or manufacturing engineering experience Experience designing tooling, fixtures, jigs, or manufacturing equipment Proficiency with 3D CAD software (NX or related) for modeling and drawings Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and production methods Ability to interpret GD&T and apply sound engineering judgment Hands-on problem-solving skills Comfortable collaborating with engineers, technicians, welders, machinists, and production teams Manufacturing Design Engineer Preferred Background & Skills Experience in production or prototype manufacturing environments Familiarity with robotic welding or welding fixture design Manufacturing Design Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities Design and develop production tooling, fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids—including for robotic welding stations Modify part designs and drawings to optimize manufacturability, assembly, and quality Collaborate with production personnel to identify manufacturing challenges and engineer practical solutions Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation Support standardized process development and continuous improvement activities Troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, or production issues and drive corrective actions through implementation Work alongside cross-functional teams to improve cycle time, ergonomics, repeatability, and efficiency across manufacturing processes Must be eligible to work on ITAR-regulated programs (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or U.S. Person) If you're looking for a hands-on engineering opportunity where your work directly supports mission-critical goals, this is your chance to make a difference.
