DiaCom Corporation, founded in 1983, is a world-wide industry leader in producing high-performance diaphragms for automotive, aerospace, medical, food processing, and other critical industries. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a Tool Designer capable of producing complex tool designs, maintaining engineering records and performing Process Engineering functions, as required. Primary Duties Produces efficient and timely designs of molds, dies, trim, and other tooling to support new and existing customer programs. Uses AutoCAD, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or other software platforms to produce drawings and part models with the goal of minimizing costs and maximizing manufacturability. Establishes and maintains digital and hard copy design engineering records. Supports Company Sales Dept. and New Business Engineering as required. Works in conjunction with Tool Room to produce tools, dies, and molds. What We're Looking For Candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience designing tools using a CAD modeling software and have completed / be currently completing a Technical College degree in a Manufacturing Discipline. Candidate must also have had some previous experience in a Process / Manufacturing Engineering discipline. Must be self motivated, willing to learn company design software platform, and have good rapport with co-workers. What We Offer 9/80 work schedule - enjoy every other Friday off!
