Must be on site in Hopewell Junction, NY Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship The Equipment Engineer who will support the Organic Deposition tools for the OLED manufacturing process. This role will sustain the manufacturing production line, troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, train maintenance technicians, and work with equipment and process teams on tool improvements. This role must exhibit a high level of self-motivation and interest in understanding and solving complex technical problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the maintenance team and work side by side with them on the fabrication floor. Establishment of the equipment engineering and maintenance related business processes necessary to run and maintain tools in production. Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues. Manage equipment spending to ensure it fits within budget, and work on cost reduction. Work in close collaboration with Process Engineering and Manufacturing teams. Create materials and perform training of equipment technicians working on tools in the area. Ensure close interaction with equipment suppliers. Drive escalations and work together on resolution of tool issues. Read and interpret tool schematics (electrical, PIDs, utilities diagrams, etc.) Engage in continuous improvement activities on tools and develop solutions for higher throughput and improvement in tool performance. Lead training and development of the maintenance technicians to improve their skills. Perform data analysis of recurring and/or chronic issues. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance procedures to maintain process control and avoid unscheduled downtime.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering or related discipline, required. 5+ years of semiconductor and/or OLED manufacturing industry production experience required. 15+ years of semiconductor and/or OLED manufacturing industry production experience preferred. Experience with high vacuum systems, thermal evaporation, sputter techniques, thin films deposition, and other semiconductor processing techniques is desired. Proficiency with statistical engineering methods, statistical process control, problem solving, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and maintenance requirements. Strong continuous improvement mindset, permanently driving to identify and eliminate waste and errors in business process, work procedures and instructions, work organization. Strong organizational skills demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs. Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter.
