Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provide support to the Connectors Design & Operations team, by carrying out testing and validation of new & modified connector designs; developing and maintaining test procedures & projects, test hardware & software, equipment, fixtures, etc.; and applying creative & strategic thinking, technical, and project management skills, ensuring on-time project completion, with the highest level of quality and within budget.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Connector team with validation testing, failure analysis, design optimization, debugging equipment, and fixture design; for common electrical and mechanical tests including contact resistance, thermal cycling, thermal shock, current rating, mechanical vibration & shock, mechanical cycle durability, and others. Coordinate the construction & assembly of samples for testing, and verification of sample compatibility with fixtures & equipment. Document test results with high attention to detail, and compile all results into formal test reports for internal & customer distribution. Develop and modify documented test procedures and programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Monitor lead times and progress of sample development and testing activities, to ensure timing milestones and customer targets (internal and external) are met. Liaison with team members, customers, and suppliers as technical resource for testing related questions & concerns.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical preferred) Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Strong problem solving / troubleshooting and organizational skills, with high attention to detail Experience or knowledge of stamping, molding and assembly manufacturing processes is a plus Solidworks and/or ther similar 3D modeling tools like AutoCAD, Fusion360, Creo/ProE, Solid Edge etc. is a PLUS. Continuous Improvement / Problem Solving Deployment and Monitoring of Key Indicators Formalization and Transmission of Knowledge and Skills Project Management and Innovation Occasional travel may be required as needed (
