Job Description
The selected candidate will provide engineering services for a variety of government Audio Visual (AV) / Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems including performing site surveys, writing statements of requirements, developing cost estimates, presenting design reviews to customers, creating schematic technical design drawings, developing equipment bill of materials for integrating various type of audio, visual, network, and control components, configuration and testing of AV systems, and some programming as needed.
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.
Requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and minimum of 6 years AV/VTC experience or high school diploma and a minimum of 10 years AV /VTC experience
AV/VTC system design and installation
Manufacturer Certifications from one or more of the following: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Clearone, Cisco
Excellent customer-facing skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to government customers and sponsors
Ability to work independently in developing complex technical solutions
2D CAD drawing development (Visio, or equivalent)
CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
AV programming experience
Knowledge of building construction methods and materials
Prior Military or DoD experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range:
$107359
$182510
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
