Develop comprehensive mechanical schematics, drawings, and 3D models for product prototypes and manufacturing. Perform tolerance analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and simulations to validate design integrity under operational conditions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of system components. Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures or issues during testing phases and implement corrective actions. Manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of engineering projects. Apply knowledge of ASME codes & standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and building information modeling (BIM) tools to maintain high-quality design outputs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development. Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and drafting tools for mechanical detail drawings. Expertise in 3D modeling for product design, tolerance analysis, FEA simulations, and schematic creation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, Arduino, and CNC machining processes. Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles including machine design, system design, and mechanical knowledge across various applications. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams effectively. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement solutions promptly during project execution. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and engineering product development methodologies.
