ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES

As a mechanical engineer for SLCM-N, youll be a member of a cross functional team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics for the Sea-Launched Cruise MissileNuclear (SLCM-N) Navy program. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Design and analyze components and electro-mechanical assemblies Create and maintain mechanical solid models and drawings Create and manage bills of material (BOM) within data management system Generate design and interface documentation Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis What sets you apart: Strong proficiency with CREO modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards Electrical Hardware design experience a plus Schematic generation a plus Cable and harness design preferred Experience with ruggedized electronics packaging for shipboard applications a plus Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) a plus Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals Our Commitment to
