Full Job Description Join Our Team:
Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing & Project Support Do you like owning a project, getting hands-on with the production team, and seeing your work through to the finished part? Accra-Fab is a precision sheet metal fabricator that builds custom parts to our customers' drawings and specifications for aerospace, medical, telecommunications, and other demanding industries. As an AS9100D-certified shop, we hold ourselves to high standards, and our engineering team plays a big part in how we meet them. We're adding a Mechanical Engineer who is just as comfortable on the shop floor as at a workstation, and who wants to lead projects that make a visible difference for our customers and for our own operation. Projects You'll Take On Our engineers are the go-to people for projects across the business. In a given week, you might be: Leading customer projects, including new part introductions, revisions, and special requests, from order review through first article and delivery. Driving internal improvement projects that reduce cost, shorten lead times, and improve quality. Modeling and documenting production setups in SolidWorks, including internal tooling, jigs, and fixtures. Supporting company-wide initiatives that strengthen our processes, systems, and results. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Review customer drawings and specifications to confirm requirements and catch potential manufacturing issues early. Redline prints so they're ready for production. Act as the technical point of contact for Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Work directly with customers and suppliers to answer questions and keep projects moving. Keep technical specifications, process capability information, and internal libraries current and accurate. Track jobs from start to finish to make sure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. What We're Looking For A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting; experience with custom precision parts or sheet metal is a plus. Working knowledge of SolidWorks and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. The ability to manage several projects at once, with strong organization and follow-through. Clear, confident communication with coworkers, customers, and suppliers. A self-starter attitude and a genuine interest in making things work better. Why Accra-Fab? This isn't a desk-bound role. You'll spend real time on the shop floor, work side by side with our production team, and see the results of your projects in the parts we ship. We're a team that values integrity, quality, and practical solutions, and we give our engineers room to take ownership and grow. Interested? Apply today and help us deliver the precision parts our customers count on, one project at a time.
