Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Durability Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Mount Vernon, WA . The ideal candidate must have strong experience in durability testing, mechanical engineering, and data analysis , along with the ability to support vehicle validation programs from planning through execution.
Rate Range:
$55/hour to $70/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Durability Engineer job responsibilities include:
Plan, coordinate, and execute vehicle durability testing programs at the PACCAR Technical Center durability track. Manage overall testing activities including scope, schedules, resources, budgets, and project deliverables. Coordinate vehicle readiness activities and install instrumentation required for test data collection and analysis. Facilitate daily operational meetings with durability drivers, technicians, and vehicle operations personnel to support efficient test execution. Conduct routine inspections of test vehicles and identify root causes of component or system failures. Analyze durability test data and provide engineering recommendations to improve vehicle performance, reliability, and durability.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related STEM discipline . 2+ years of experience in engineering, test engineering, validation, or related technical roles.
Strong understanding of:
Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals Durability Testing Reliability Engineering Fatigue Analysis Structural Validation Root Cause Analysis Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data acquisition systems and vehicle instrumentation. Knowledge of heavy-duty truck, commercial vehicle, or automotive systems. Experience supporting product validation, reliability, or durability engineering programs. Familiarity with engineering test procedures, data collection methodologies, and validation processes. Pay Details:
