ACS Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art design build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids. We have one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC.
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Designer is responsible for completing and releasing drawings that satisfy customer design requirements, industry specifications, and company standards. Prepare or modify drawings in a timely manner while working under the direction of the Mechanical Design Manager.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Mechanical Designer Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Invertor, Vault, and other 3D modeling software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to work within established rules and standards. Create part assembly drawings based on design created by Engineering or Sales. Be able to complete sets of unusual and complex drawings that include multiple section views, component drawings, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials. Designer works from sketches (red line), computer models, and verbal information supplied by Engineering or Sales. Must be responsible for maintaining compliance with tight schedules and effectively manage own time.
Technical:
AutoCAD, Inventor & Vault. Experience in working with multiple discipline projects. Excellent Microsoft Office software skills.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
Associates Degree in drafting/design or at least 2 years' similar experience Prefer direct experience with structural steel fabrication and sheet metal fabrication. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
