Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Management Oversee and maintain the production quality of subordinates. Effectively apply procedures and company standards Ensure all Piping/Mechanical deliverables are checked, QA\QC is complete and outstanding problems are resolved prior to submittal. Coordinate with other Design disciplines. Communication Proactively participate in Design team on each project Implement all changes directed by Principal Piping Designer Lead or from the Project Manager Communicate relevant project information to subordinates. Tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information Technical Capabilities
Process and develop through continuing education and training a thorough understanding in the areas of Piping/Mechanical Design including:

Plot Plan
Equipment Arrangement
OSHA Access and Egress Requirements
Vessel Orientation
Tray Arrangement
Nozzle Location

Piping Plans and Sections
Isometrics
Pipe Support Packages

Ability to direct and check design/drafting department for the production of:

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications 10-20 years of experience as a Piping Designer or similar position in the Manufacturing, Oil, or Gas industries. A Minimum of an associate degree in the field related to Engineering and Design or equivalent technical experience. Working knowledge of Project workflow and Piping/Mechanical Design as it relates to Process Plant or Industrial environments. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong written and oral communication and people skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Travel Occasionally the Piping Designer will be required to travel to client offices and construction sites. Piping/Mechanical's Design Group members may travel from 10-20% of the year. Scope and duration of travel may vary depending on the phase and needs of any given project (e.g., sales, front end design, installation, commissioning, and start-up).
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
