This program, comprised of two phases, is designed to prepare you for impactful engineering roles within Siemens Digital Industries Automation. The journey begins with a 6-month intensive onboarding phase that combines structured training with hands-on project work to develop your expertise in our Digital Industries Automation portfolio, accelerate your understanding of our business strategy and core processes, enhance your professional skills, and strengthen your application and systems engineering capabilities. Phase 2 is an immersive 12-month, during which you'll deepen your technical expertise in discrete automation, gain hands-on experience with designing automation solutions , and refine customer engagement skills. Upon successful completion, you'll transition to a designated full-time role as an Application Engineer or Controls Engineer with one of our Technical Consulting teams. This Development Program is designed for individuals beginning their professional careers. Candidates must have completed, or will complete, the required educational credentials prior to the program start date. This program is intended for candidates at an early career stage. Current students seeking an experiential learning opportunity while continuing their studies should consider our internship and co-op programs. Available to start full-time employment on June 7, 2027 Bachelor's or Master's degree: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science Strong programming proficiency in any language or environment:

IEC 61131-3

(Ladder Logic), C#, Python, C/C++, Java, iOS/Android/web development Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical statics/dynamics, control theory, signals/networking, and/or industrial automation technologies (such as PLCs, CNCs, motors, sensors, drives, Industrial IoT, ethernet networking) Excellent written and verbal communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to scope customer needs, define technical requirements, partner effectively with cross-functional teams, and foster trusted customer relationships Demonstrated resilience and ability to troubleshoot complex challenges using a solution-oriented, systems-level approach Must be willing and able to commit to the required relocations: first to Mason, OH for 6 months, followed by assignment to one of our DI Automation hubs or customer regions including (but not limited to) Alpharetta, GA; Elk Grove Village, IL; Chicago, IL; Harleysville, PA; and Detroit, MI. Relocation assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address for each required move.
