CNC Controls & Mechatronics Support Engineer
Job Description
Your mission Keep manufacturers moving. From Minneapolis, MN, you'll be the expert customers trust when their CNC equipment must perform at its best. One day you'll restore a production-critical lathe; the next, you'll install a new machine and train the team that will run it. Expect about 20% overnight travel to ensure successful installations, maintenance, and rapid-response repairs. How you'll make an impact Own end-to-end service: installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of CNC machinery. Get to root causes across mechanics, electrics, and control software—especially on Fanuc platforms. Educate customers on operation and care, raising uptime and extending machine life. Capture detailed service notes and maintenance histories that inform smarter decisions. Close the loop with engineering and sales to enhance product performance and customer outcomes. Continuously learn—follow advances in CNC technology and apply them in the field. Travel to customer sites for installs and service calls as needed. What you'll need to succeed Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Precision Machining, or related field. Hands-on experience in CNC service or a comparable machine tool support role. In-depth understanding of CNC machinery with strong proficiency in Fanuc controls. Diagnostic mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Clear communication and a customer-first approach. Willingness to travel up to 20% including overnights.
