Position Overview:
Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a Digital Thread & Systems Engineering Intern to support the Capital PreSales organization. This role offers an opportunity to work on innovative digital engineering initiatives spanning aerospace, defense, automotive, and software-defined product development. The intern will assist in the development of engineering datasets, digital thread demonstrations, and proof-of-concept solutions that connect systems engineering, software development, electrical design, and lifecycle management processes. Working alongside experienced mentors, the intern will contribute to customer-facing demonstrations and internal innovation projects focused on digital transformation and model-based engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop aerospace and automotive engineering datasets used for demonstrations and technical enablement. Support Digital Thread initiatives connecting requirements, systems, software, electrical, and lifecycle information. Assist in building and validating proof-of-concept solutions using Siemens Capital and the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. Contribute to systems engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) workflows. Create technical documentation, presentations, and demonstration assets. Participate in technical reviews, innovation projects, and customer-focused engineering initiatives.
Requirements :
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Comfortable working in a fully remote environment within the United States of America. Interest in digital engineering, systems thinking, and software-defined products. Experience with Python, scripting, or data analysis is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. $18 $50
