SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON
You will lead Integred Process Teams (IPTs) supporting submarine design, conversion, modernizion, and other assigned engineering projects. You will explain team goals and objectives, focusing government and contractor resources to rapidly resolve technical program issues. You will collabore with team members to prioritize critical customer actions and balance limited resources to meet design and construction schedules. You will identify emergent problems, take immedie action to prevent program delays, and minimize government cost impacts. You will initie measures to minimize costs and improve efficiency without compromising team effectiveness. You will keep supervisors informed of emergent work, workload changes, and impacts to program schedules and key events. You will provide informion to support management focus on identifying and mitiging technical and program risks. You will establish and maintain effective relionships with division heads, contractor managers, NAVSEA personnel, and other stakeholders. You will recommend actions, adjustments, or compromises to support program goals and mission requirements. You will provide performance input to division heads and advise team members on assigned project mters. You will review, analyze, research, and prepare correspondence on design deficiencies and determine the technical adequacy of contractor recommendions. You will consult with contractors, participe in technical conferences, and recommend corrective actions for engineering issues. You will provide engineering recommendions, technical comments, and conference represention supporting design, construction, and testing. You will confer with NAVSEA, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve design and construction issues and recommend design and fabricion improvements. You will serve as the SUPSHIP representive on contractor IPTs, faciliting risk identificion, mitigion, and ARTEMIS schedule progress. You will guide command personnel in a multi-functional concurrent engineering environment using Integred Process Teams. You will interpret higher authority directives and implement engineering programs affecting workload, methods, cost, and schedules. You will interface with command elements to resolve technical issues and develop coordined command positions.
