1st Shift (4x10 Schedule) Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM Position Summary We are seeking a skilled NDT Technician II to join a leading aerospace manufacturing environment in Phoenix, AZ. This position is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) on sheet metal aircraft components using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Radiographic Inspection (RT), and Digital X-Ray methods. The ideal candidate will possess applicable NDT certifications and documented NDT training hours and be capable of interpreting inspection results while ensuring compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform non-destructive testing and inspections on aerospace components using approved NDT methods. Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Radiographic Inspection (RT), and Digital X-Ray inspections. Interpret inspection findings and accurately document results. Follow established NDT procedures, technique sheets, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. Generate and evaluate X-ray images for parts with simple and complex geometries. Identify nonconforming conditions and communicate findings to quality and production teams. Create, revise, and maintain NDT technique sheets as required. Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, and technical documentation. Complete manufacturing, quality, and labor tracking documentation accurately. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection methods and productivity. Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and aerospace manufacturing standards. Assist and support fellow inspection personnel as needed. Required Qualifications Current NDT certifications and documented NDT hours/training records. Certification in one or more of the following: Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) Radiographic Inspection (RT) Digital X-Ray Inspection Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Knowledge of shop mathematics and inspection practices. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace manufacturing experience. Experience with conventional and digital radiographic inspection systems. Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and metal forming processes. Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and inspection requirements.
