Hot Section Technologies | Oxnard, CA $38.00-$48.00 per hour, based on demonstrated experience and capability Full-time | On-site | Monday-Friday | Day shift Signing bonus and relocation assistance available for qualified senior candidates Job Summary Hot Section Technologies is hiring a Senior Aerospace Repair TIG Welder for our FAA-certified repair station and EASA-approved maintenance organization in Oxnard, California. This role is focused on repair welding of in-service aircraft components , not general fabrication or new manufacturing welding. The work requires advanced
TIG/GTAW
skill, sound repair judgment, and the ability to weld thin-gauge aerospace materials using approved technical data, drawings, engineering instructions, and repair station procedures. We offer permanent Monday-Friday day shift work, no rotating shifts, no night shift, varied aircraft component repairs, and the opportunity to apply senior-level welding judgment in a quality-focused repair station. Key Responsibilities Perform precision

repair welding on aircraft components to
AWS D17.1
requirements and approved repair instructions. Weld thin-gauge aerospace material, approximately 0.025" to 0.035". Weld aerospace alloys such as stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, aluminum, titanium, Inconel, or Hastelloy X. Evaluate in-service part conditions before welding, including cracking, oxidation, contamination, thinning, distortion, prior heat exposure, and prior weld repairs. Control fit-up, heat input, distortion, shielding, cleanliness, contamination prevention, and dimensional movement during repair welding. Use proper titanium welding discipline when applicable, including shielding awareness, clean tooling, contamination control, and weld-color recognition. Read drawings, welding symbols, engineering sketches, technical data, and repair instructions. Identify weld defects, process concerns, and repair risks before they affect quality or repair flow. Stop work and escalate to Quality or Engineering when part condition, repair limits, weld quality, or dimensional control is uncertain. Accurately document work performed in accordance with repair station requirements. Serve as a technical resource to less-experienced welders or repair team members when needed. Required Qualifications Employer-issued or production-based
AWS D17.1 TIG/GTAW
welder qualification, with documentation. Must be able to provide qualification records showing process, material group, thickness range, position, test date, and issuing employer or qualifying authority. School or training-program D17.1 certification is helpful, but does not meet this requirement by itself for this senior role. Must be able to successfully qualify to Hot Section Technologies' applicable welding procedures before performing customer repair work. 5+ years of hands-on aerospace
TIG/GTAW
welding experience, including thin-gauge aerospace material and aerospace alloys. Ability to perform repair welding on used, damaged, contaminated, distorted, or previously repaired aerospace components. Ability to follow approved welding procedures, technical data, and repair station work instructions. Ability to read welding symbols, drawings, engineering sketches, and technical requirements. Ability to use shop math and precision measuring tools. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications FAA or EASA repair station experience. Aircraft component repair experience. Experience repairing titanium aircraft components or other distortion-sensitive aerospace parts. Experience working with Inspection, Quality, or Engineering to resolve repair-welding issues. Experience mentoring or assisting less-experienced welders. Practical Evaluation Final candidates will complete a practical welding evaluation. Job title, years of experience, and school certification do not replace demonstrated repair-welding capability. Compensation and Benefits $38.00-$48.00 per hour, based on demonstrated experience and capability. Signing bonus available for qualified senior candidates. Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates relocating to the Oxnard or Ventura County area. Prior directly relevant aerospace repair-welding experience may be considered when determining vacation accrual placement for exceptionally qualified senior candidates, consistent with company policy.
Health insurance contribution:
$350 per month toward team member premium.
