Sauder Custom Fabrication, Inc. is looking for a skilled and safety-focused industrial radiographer to join our team in Emporia, Kansas. A Non-Destructive Tester uses gamma-ray equipment to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on materials, welds, and structures to detect hidden internal flaws without causing damage. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Use gamma-ray equipment to perform non-destructive testing on materials, welds, and structures. Detect hidden internal flaws, defects, and discontinuities without damaging the materials being inspected. Set up and operate radiographic inspection equipment safely and accurately. Interpret radiographic images and test results to identify potential defects. Follow established inspection procedures, radiation safety practices, and applicable industry standards. Complete accurate inspection reports and required documentation. Work closely with welding, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure products meet specifications. Maintain inspection equipment and required records.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous NDT or industrial radiography experience preferred. Relevant NDT certifications or qualifications preferred. Experience with radiography, UT, MT, PT, or other NDT methods is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strict commitment to safety and quality. Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
