$28.00 per hour About the Role We're seeking a Visual Inspector to support piping fabrication and construction work in Walker, Louisiana. You'll examine piping, welds, components, and related work to verify that they meet approved drawings, project specifications, inspection procedures, and quality requirements. You'll document inspection results, promptly communicate nonconforming conditions, and support safe project progress. All inspection work must stay within your current qualifications and assigned authority. What You'll Do Visually inspect piping welds, base materials, fit-up, surface condition, joint preparation, and completed weld profiles at required inspection stages. Check work against approved isometrics, fabrication drawings, weld maps, specifications, inspection and test plans, and acceptance criteria. When assigned, verify material identification and traceability, including heat or lot numbers, weld numbers, and welder identification. Use appropriate measuring tools and visual inspection aids, keeping them serviceable and confirming calibration status when required. Identify, document, and communicate rejectable conditions or missing information. Support nonconformance reporting and reinspect work after corrections are made. Coordinate hold and witness points with quality, supervision, fabrication, and client representatives. Do not release work beyond your assigned authority. Complete clear, timely inspection reports and maintain traceable records in the required project system or forms. Follow site safety rules, permit and PPE requirements, housekeeping practices, and stop-work expectations. Qualifications Visual Testing Level II (VT Level II) is required at a minimum. Magnetic Particle Testing Level II (MT Level II) and Liquid Penetrant Testing Level II (PT Level II) are preferred. Candidates who do not hold ACCP VT Level II or AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification must pass the company or project's internal examination and qualification process before inspecting independently. The process follows the applicable written practice consistent with

SNT-TC-1A.

Ability to read piping isometrics, weld maps, fabrication drawings, inspection procedures, and quality documents. Working knowledge of piping fabrication or construction, weld terminology, visual examination methods, and common weld discontinuities. Ability to write objective inspection records and communicate findings professionally. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant inspection training and field experience may be considered in place of formal education. Ability to meet project access, orientation, and safety requirements. Work Environment Work takes place in and around an active piping fabrication or construction environment. The role may involve extended walking and standing, climbing stairs or access platforms, bending, reaching, and working near industrial equipment.
