What you'll do Perform visual and non-destructive testing on parts, piping, welds, and heavy machinery. Validate conformance to design drawings, technical specs, and nuclear standards (ASME, NQA-1). Review material test reports (MTRs), calibration logs, and inspection packages before installation. Log nonconformances, stop defective work, and drive corrective actions to completion. What you'll bring 5+ years in mechanical inspection or a closely related field. Comfort using precision instruments—calipers, micrometers, and similar tools. Level II or III certification in non-destructive examination. Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and NRC regulations. Role snapshot
