Owning budget, schedule and quality on your scope, and serving as responsible charge on projects. Reviewing junior work, leading production teams, coordinating across disciplines. Client-facing input as you grow, including support on pursuits and front-end studies. Who is their IDEAL engineer? Anywhere from 5 to 20+ years who is ambitous and looking for a chance to really grow their career. There's a real ladder here rather than a vague promise of one: Lead Engineer at 5 to 10 years, Senior once you have the PE, then Engineering Manager, and from there either the Project Manager route or a Subject Matter Expert track if you want to stay technical and never manage a soul.
