Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Optical & Electrical Engineering Intern at Viavi Solutions, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of advanced optical and electrical systems for our cutting-edge network test and measurement solutions. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic engineering environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, simulation, and prototyping of electrical circuits and optical modules. Conduct laboratory testing and characterization of hardware components and systems, including data acquisition and analysis. Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and document findings. Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and debugging hardware issues. Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical discussions. Research and evaluate new technologies, components, and methodologies. Maintain accurate records of experiments, designs, and analysis. Pre-Requisites / Skills /
Experience Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of circuit design principles, analog and digital electronics. Familiarity with optical components, fiber optics, or optical communication systems is a plus. Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Excel). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
