Cornishville, Kentucky job type: Contract salary: $27.27 - 38.15 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead metrology projects from concept to production release, driving technology transfer, gauge development, and system qualification from R&D to manufacturing.

Survey, develop, and qualify new measurement systems and test methods to evaluate critical product characteristics like optical performance and mechanical attributes.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, QA, and software teams to integrate operator interfaces, data collection tools, and automated reporting systems.

Drive metrology governance, gauge alignment, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) standardization across internal plants and contract manufacturing sites.

Provide technical leadership in root cause analysis, 2nd-level troubleshooting, and training for deployed plant metrology systems.

qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's preferred) in Metrology, Optics, Precision Instruments, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong technical background in metrology fundamentals, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), calibration traceability, and statistical reporting. Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Minitab, Origin, MATLAB, or Python, with experience in machine vision or glass inspection systems being a plus.
