We are partnering with a leading utility environment to present an opportunity for a detail-oriented engineering professional who can support complex substation projects from early scope development through design coordination and implementation. Our team is looking for someone who can bring technical depth, strong field collaboration skills, and a commitment to safe, reliable operations that support critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Develop preliminary scope of work and conduct pre-engineering job walk meetings with stakeholders across construction, maintenance, operations, IT, telecomm, field engineering, and testing teams. Prepare, approve, and publish pre-engineering job walk meeting minutes and design specification documents. Manage in-house design projects, coordinate with the prime engineering contractor, and support delivery milestones, cost control, and design consistency. Provide technical support for field personnel, internal and external stakeholders, emergent operational needs, and compliance-related engineering activities.
Required:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or a bachelor's degree in a Scientific, Technical, or Math field. Five (5) years or more years of engineering experience Two or more years of experience in substation engineering and design. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Design Manager, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and communication skills, including experience conducting field meetings, discussing scope of work, and taking detailed notes.
