Job Description
Constellation Energy seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to support design, reliability, and performance of power generation and distribution systems. In this role, you will develop and review electrical designs, perform load and fault analyses, and ensure compliance with industry codes and utility standards. You will lead root-cause investigations, support grid integration of renewable and conventional assets, and drive system upgrades for safety and efficiency. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will mentor junior engineers, manage technical documentation, and contribute to sustainability and reliability initiatives across Constellation's portfolio. Responsibilities Design and review electrical power generation and distribution systems Perform load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, NERC, and utility standards Lead root-cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives Support integration of renewable and conventional assets to the grid Develop and maintain technical documentation and drawings Collaborate with operations, projects, and safety teams on upgrades Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers Support project planning, cost estimates, and technical scopes Drive initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability Required Skills Power system analysis Protection and control design Auto CAD or similar CAD tools ETAP or similar power analysis software Short-circuit and load flow studies Arc flash and coordination studies Knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards Substation and switchgear design Project engineering and documentation SCADA and control systems familiarity
