Design and optimize decoupling strategies, capacitor selection, and placement for complex boards and systems. Interact with customers to determine their power interconnect needs. Perform EMI/EMC risk assessments related to power distribution. Collaborate with SI engineers to co-optimize power and signal integrity. Develop PDN models and validate through lab measurements (VNA impedance sweeps, oscilloscope ripple measurements). Work with PCB designers on layer stack-up, plane assignments, and power routing. Assist in root-cause analysis and debugging of customer power-related issues. Document best practices and contribute to design guidelines for power delivery networks.
QUALIFICATIONS
