    We are seeking a Utilities Engineer Co-Op at our Mosinee, Wisconsin plant for the 2027 Spring (January
  • August) or Fall Semester (June
  • December).

This individual will assist utility operations and maintenance teams by collecting and analyzing operational data, supporting infrastructure inspections, maintaining records, and helping coordinate projects to ensure reliable and efficient utility services.

Pay Rate

$27.00 per hour

Requirements:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Enrolled in an Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Controls/Automation or similar Engineering degree program

Living in or willing to relocate to the Mosinee, Wisconsin area from January

  • August or June

    Strong technical aptitude and proven problem-solving abilities
    Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects
  • Assist with machine shutdowns and start-ups
  • Monitor, assess, analyze, and optimize process quality and conditions
  • Monitor, assess, and analyze process variability
  • Reduce environmental impact
  • Provide technical support for key departments
  • Provide problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper
  • Assist and/or lead safety, productivity, quality, efficiency, cost control, compliance, and housekeeping projects
  • Support operations/maintenance efforts and drive continuous improvement
