About the Role As a Product Development Test Engineer, you will serve as a technical lead for laboratory testing, ensuring that our advanced cable and connectivity solutions meet rigorous performance standards. You will drive innovation by designing experiments and validating new test methodologies that directly influence product reliability and market readiness. Responsibilities Design and execute complex laboratory experiments to validate product performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports that translate testing data into actionable engineering recommendations. Manage certification workflows and technical communication with external regulatory bodies such as UL, CSA, and DLA. Oversee the integrity of the
ISO 17025
quality management system through proactive maintenance and audit readiness. Facilitate Design of Experiments (DOE) to solve technical challenges and optimize development cycles. Develop and standardize new laboratory test methods, ensuring best practices are implemented across the team. Provide technical mentorship to laboratory staff to ensure project milestones and quality objectives are consistently achieved. Champion laboratory safety and operational efficiency through continuous improvement programs. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with lab equipment calibration and testing protocols in an industrial or R&D environment. Proven working knowledge of ISO 9001 and
ISO 17025
quality standards. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex electrical and physical testing data. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Skills Direct experience in the wire, cable, or fiber optic manufacturing industry. Proficiency in specialized testing such as FTIR, flame testing, or optical performance analysis. Experience leading cross-functional teams in a technical or laboratory setting.
