Engineering Development Program (EDP)

Multiple Pella Locations Pella's Engineering Development Program (EDP) is a comprehensive rotational program designed to accelerate the development of early-career engineers through hands-on experience, technical skill building, and cross-functional exposure. Over the course of the program, participants complete a series of rotational assignments aligned with Pella's strategic priorities, gaining experience across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain functions. Each rotation is designed to build technical expertise, expand business knowledge, and develop leadership capabilities while contributing to meaningful projects and business results. Participants work alongside experienced professionals and leaders, gaining exposure to a variety of disciplines while building the skills needed for long-term success at Pella. Program Structure Program duration:
24-48 months Four rotational assignments Rotation lengths of 6 or 12 months Opportunities located at Pella's Corporate Headquarters and manufacturing locations across the organization Each rotation includes defined objectives, responsibilities, and learning outcomes Potential Rotation Areas Participants may gain experience in areas such as: Corporate Product Engineering Corporate Process Engineering Plant Process Engineering Quality Engineering Continuous Improvement Engineering Intelligent Operations / No Issues Product Information Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES) - Machine Design Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES) - Programming Department Manager (Pella Site) Supply Chain Logistics Rotation opportunities are based on business needs, employee development goals, and organizational priorities. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Current students nearing graduation and early-career engineers with up to three years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Strong academic performance and demonstrated leadership through coursework, student organizations, work experience, athletics, volunteer activities, or other experiences. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated project management, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Auto
CAD, CAD, 3D
modeling, or related engineering tools preferred. Willingness to relocate for rotational assignments and future career opportunities within the organization.
Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is $77,350 annually. Compensation for this role is established through Pella Corporation's college recruiting program. Eligible participants may receive transition assistance in accordance with company policies and program guidelines. Benefits are available in accordance with the terms of applicable benefit plans. What You'll Build Through EDP Through rotational experiences, mentorship, and hands-on projects, participants develop: Technical and functional expertise Process improvement and problem-solving skills Cross-functional business acumen Project and people leadership capabilities Professional networks across Pella's manufacturing and engineering organizations Additional Information Normal and irregular work hours or shifts may be required depending on rotation assignment Up to 25% travel may be required Periodic exposure to manufacturing equipment and production environments Occasional lifting of materials up to 30 pounds may be required Work environments may include office, laboratory, and manufacturing settings No certifications or licenses required
