Head of Engineering & Product Development Posted on July 7, 2025 July 7, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Engineering & Product Development to lead our client's engineering teams and drive innovation in product strategy and execution. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, exceptional people management skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-impact products from concept through launch. The ideal candidate will excel at aligning engineering efforts with business goals while fostering a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement. Position Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Define and execute the engineering and product development roadmap in alignment with overall business objectives Lead, mentor, and inspire engineering and product teams to achieve operational excellence and innovation Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams Product Development & Delivery Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, design, and development to testing, launch, and maintenance Ensure high standards of quality, scalability, and performance in product design and engineering solutions Collaborate closely with stakeholders including marketing, sales, and customer success to align product features with market needs Process Optimization & Innovation Implement best practices in product development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Lean Drive adoption of modern engineering tools, processes, and automation to improve productivity and quality Identify opportunities for innovation and new technology integration to maintain competitive advantage Prerequisites Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineering and product development roles Proven success in managing large, diverse teams and delivering complex products to market Strong technical expertise combined with strategic business acumen Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Agile, Scrum, or Project Management certifications Leadership or executive management training What the Role Offers Competitive salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 Opportunity to lead transformative projects and shape product vision Collaborative and innovative work environment Career growth potential in senior leadership Placement fee: 30% Why Tysons?
