Principal RF Software Engineer

OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior RF Software Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and optimization of advanced software solutions supporting Radio Frequency (RF) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications in mission-critical government environments.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in DSP algorithm development, C++, Python, and Linux, with a strong background in complex software engineering, mathematical modeling, high-performance computing, and real-time signal processing systems.

Design, develop, implement, and optimize complex DSP algorithms supporting advanced signal processing and analysis applications.

Develop and maintain high-performance software applications using C++, Python, and Linux-based development environments.

Design and implement complex algorithms that meet strict timing, computational resource, performance, and interface requirements.

Develop software solutions for processing-intensive analytics, large-scale datasets, real-time systems, and advanced algorithm development. mathematical models and scientific analysis to evaluate software performance, predict system behavior, and validate engineering solutions.

Analyze user and system requirements to establish software design specifications, functional requirements, and performance standards.

Modify and enhance existing software to correct defects, improve performance, support new hardware, and implement additional functionality.

Develop and optimize complex database interfaces and queries to support data processing and analysis requirements.

Integrate software components into new or existing systems, hardware platforms, and operating environments.

Develop, execute, and review software testing procedures to validate functionality, performance, and compliance with system requirements.

Troubleshoot complex software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.

Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers to evaluate technical requirements, system limitations, hardware/software interfaces, and performance constraints.

Support software installation, system integration, and operational testing to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

Evaluate opportunities for software reuse and integration of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) solutions.

Conduct software performance analysis and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Serve as a senior technical contributor or team lead throughout the software development lifecycle.

Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to software engineers and development teams.

Lead software design reviews, code reviews, testing activities, and technical discussions.

Oversee software development activities to ensure deliverables meet established technical requirements, quality standards, and project timelines.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical challenges, recommend solutions, and support engineering decisions.

Perform quality control reviews of software deliverables and ensure adnce to established development processes.

Develop, review, and maintain software architecture documentation, technical specifications, design documentation, and testing reports.
