Direct Hire Company Overview Rogue Industrial Group is recruiting a motivated Petroleum Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with an established oil and gas operator in Hobbs, New Mexico. This position provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of upstream oil and gas operations while building a long-term engineering career. Position Overview The selected candidate will participate in a comprehensive training and development program. During this time, the engineer will gain practical exposure to drilling, completions, production. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who is eager to learn, comfortable working in both office and field environments, and interested in long-term professional growth within the oil and gas industry. Additional benefit information will be provided by the recruiter during the interview process. Responsibilities Monitor production rates and implement strategies to maximize extraction efficiency. This may involve artificial lift design, surface equipment design, chemical program design, evaluation of compression, emission control design, automation, troubleshooting problems such as equipment malfunctions or wellbore integrity issues. Design facilities for separation and measurement of oil, gas, and water. Coordinate pipeline connections to midstream providers. Design and wellsite supervision of perforating, hydraulic fracturing, acidizing, and drill-outs. Material sourcing and logistics related to each. Design and supervise the drilling process, select the drilling techniques, equipment, and materials needed. Manage project budgets and expenses by estimating costs for equipment, materials, and labor. Identify cost-saving opportunities and strive to optimize project economics. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives collaboratively. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to oil and gas, energy, drilling, completions, production, or field operations. Proven experience working in the energy & utilities sector with a focus on oil & gas projects. Strong knowledge of petroleum engineering practices including drilling engineering, process engineering, and pipeline systems. Willingness to relocate. Graduates from petroleum engineering and energy-focused programs throughout New Mexico and Texas are strongly encouraged to apply.
