3010168243-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Symbotic is seeking a Staff Quality Engineer to lead quality engineering for advanced robotics and automated warehouse systems. In this role, you will define and improve quality standards for electro-mechanical assemblies, software-enabled controls, and large-scale deployments. You will design test strategies, implement robust validation plans, analyze defects and reliability data, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. Partner with design, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure products meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment. Responsibilities Lead quality engineering strategy for robotics and automated warehouse systems Develop and execute verification, validation, and system test plans Establish and refine quality standards, metrics, and processes across products Analyze defects, reliability data, and field performance to identify trends and risks Drive structured root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and field service teams to embed quality Support supplier quality, component qualification, and change control activities Ensure compliance with relevant industry, safety, and regulatory standards Create documentation, test reports, and quality review materials for stakeholders Mentor junior engineers and promote a continuous improvement culture Required Skills Quality engineering methodologies Root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC) Statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis Test planning, verification and validation Reliability engineering and FMEAElectro-mechanical system testing Requirements management and traceability Supplier quality and component qualification ISO 9001 and quality management systems Statistical tools (Minitab, JMP, or similar)
