Job Description
Las Vegas Robotics Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Part-Time Robotics Instructor to teach children and young students using LEGO and VEX robotics platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and has an interest in robotics, engineering, coding, or STEM education.

Primarily weekday afternoons and evenings

In person Possible additional hours for workshops, camps, competitions, and special events Key Responsibilities Teach engaging, age-appropriate robotics lessons using LEGO and VEX systems Guide students through building, programming, testing, and improving their robots Explain basic robotics, engineering, and coding concepts in a clear and encouraging way Prepare classroom materials and equipment before each session Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Encourage teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking Communicate professionally with students, parents, and academy staff Properly organize and store robotics kits and classroom materials after each class Qualifications Interest or experience in robotics, engineering, coding, computer science, or STEM education Experience working with children or teenagers Strong communication and classroom-management skills Patient, responsible, energetic, and dependable Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and engaging way Willingness to learn the academy's curriculum and teaching methods Ability to work independently and as part of a team Legally authorized to work in the United States Ability to pass a background check Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching, tutoring, coaching, or childcare experience Experience with LEGO Education, LEGO
SPIKE, LEGO
Mindstorms, VEX IQ, or VEX Robotics Basic programming knowledge, such as Scratch, Python, or block-based coding College students or graduates in education, engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field are encouraged to apply Formal teaching experience is helpful but not required. Candidates with strong technical skills, patience, and the ability to connect with children are welcome to apply.
