Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Weld Robot and Cobot Operator to join our QuikCut West team. This role involves operating and monitoring robotic and collaborative welding systems to ensure high-quality welds and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated welding equipment and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor robotic and collaborative (cobot) welding systems in a production environment. Load and unload parts into welding fixtures and ensure proper alignment. Perform basic programming adjustments and troubleshoot robotic weld paths as needed. Inspect welds for quality and consistency using visual and measurement tools. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of robotic equipment and workstations. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Document production data and report any defects or equipment malfunctions. Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding or robotics is a plus. Experience operating robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa) preferred. Familiarity with collaborative robots (cobots) and basic programming concepts. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
