If you're dependable, motivated, and enjoy working outdoors, we'd like to hear from you. — Chris Piburn, PLS Alaska Professional Land Surveyor Oregon Professional Land Surveyor Come Survey Where Most People Vacation R&M Engineering-Ketchikan is seeking motivated Survey Technicians, Survey Party Chiefs, and Professional Land Surveyors to join our growing survey department in Southeast Alaska. If you're tired of working on the same type of project every day, this is an opportunity to be involved in some of the most diverse and rewarding surveying work in Alaska.

Boundary Surveys Topographic Mapping Construction Staking Airport Improvements Transportation Projects Utility Design Surveys Waterfront & Marine Facilities Hydrographic Survey Coordination
ALTA/NSPS
Surveys Subdivision Platting GPS Control Networks UAV/Drone Mapping Support Every project presents new challenges, new locations, and new opportunities to learn. What You'll Do Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include: Boundary and topographic field surveys Construction staking GPS and conventional control surveys Robotic total station operation Trimble GNSS data collection Construction layout Field calculations and quality control Office processing using Trimble Business Center Drafting in Autodesk Civil 3D Travel throughout Southeast Alaska by vehicle, ferry, boat, or aircraft Positions AvailableSurvey Technician Ideal for someone beginning or building a surveying career.
Qualifications include:
Strong work ethic Mechanical aptitude Willingness to work outdoors in all weather Ability to hike uneven terrain while carrying equipment Valid driver's license Survey experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. Survey Party Chief We're looking for experienced crew leaders who can independently manage field operations.
Preferred qualifications:
Several years of field experience Construction staking and boundary experience Trimble equipment proficiency Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to mentor junior staff Professional Land Surveyor Preferred qualifications: Alaska Professional Land Surveyor license or ability to obtain reciprocity Project management experience Boundary analysis Proposal preparation Client communication Staff mentoring Technology You'll Use We believe good people deserve good equipment.
