Field Survey Technician — Entry-Level, Paid Training, Path to $31-35/hr Denali Surveying is hiring an entry-level field crew member — no survey experience required. We'll train you from day one, and you'll know exactly what skill unlocks your next raise. No annual review cycles, no guesswork: learn it, get paid for it. Experience in an adjacent field is preferred, such as construction, forestry, etc. This is primarily an outdoor position.

Pay:

Starting at $15/hr, with skill-based raises up to $31-35/hr as a Crew Chief. Plus weekly performance pay once you're trained. What you'll do: Learn to run GPS equipment, read plats and deeds, and complete field surveys Progress into instrument operation, traverses, and construction staking Build toward CAD file skills, boundary fieldwork, and eventually leading a crew Pay grows with your skills, not your tenure: Complete initial training (~90 days): $18/hr Build CAD file skills: $20/hr Independent boundary fieldwork: $22/hr Additional milestones (staking, traverse, leveling): up to $28-30/hr

Crew Chief:

$31-35/hr Performance pay: Once trained, your crew earns a share of production above weekly targets — plus flexibility to take time off when you hit your goals early, or pick up extra work to earn more.

Path to licensure:

If you're interested, we'll help you work toward surveyor licensure — licensed surveyors typically earn $100,000-$130,000. What we're looking for: Reliable, coachable, and ready to learn a hands-on trade Comfortable with outdoor physical work in all conditions Detail-oriented and a clear communicator Looking for long-term growth, with or without pursuing licensure

Schedule:

Varies. Typically 40-45 hours/week, full-time. to start a paid, hands-on apprenticeship with a clear path to a skilled trade career.

Pay:

$15.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
