A Survey CAD Technician will draft surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D based on information gathered in the field from the land survey crew. Essential Functions Preview survey field notes and field data, and prepare survey using AutoCAD Civil 3D Read and interpret property descriptions and/or maps, surveys, and other field documents Communicate with the land survey crew in the field and clients to ensure deliverables are met Follow company standards for drawing creation and presentation Essential Skills for Performing the Job Self-motivated Detail-oriented Organized Operating computers and the Microsoft Office suite Verbal and written communication skills Professionalism Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent 1-2 years using AutoCAD Civil 3D Boundary and topographical survey layout Candidates capable of obtaining the Michigan Professional Survey license is a benefit and may offer the opportunity for advancement Position Type, Expected Hours This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but s/he must be available during the standard work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Physical Demands This position is largely sedentary. An employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, and hear.
