Job Description

The Mapping Technician / Utility Locator supports utility locating and mapping projects across multiple project locations. This position requires someone who can travel full time, work independently, and support both locating and mapping needs as projects change.
Location :
Central Missouri preferred, ideally near
Kingdom City Travel :
Full-time travel required across Missouri and potentially out of state, including overnight and extended stays based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Locate and mark underground utilities including electric, gas, water, sewer, and telecommunications. Support both utility locating and mapping projects as needed. Use locating equipment, GPS, and GIS technology to collect and document utility information. Read prints, maps, as-builts, and site plans to identify underground infrastructure. Maintain accurate field documentation, utility markings, and mapping records. Communicate with project teams, contractors, and clients regarding utility locations and field conditions. Follow all safety and damage-prevention procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of utility locating experience. Willing and able to travel full time. Experience supporting utility locating, mapping, or related field projects. Valid Driver's License with clean driving record. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project locations and priorities. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Experience with GPS, GIS, ArcGIS, GPR, or other locating/mapping technology preferred.
