Chrisland Engineering is seeking a Civil CAD Technician to join our growing team in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This position will help prepare subdivision, land development, surveying, and municipal engineering plans for projects throughout Central Pennsylvania. We are open to both experienced civil CAD professionals and motivated candidates with strong AutoCAD fundamentals who are interested in learning land development and surveying. An exceptional candidate with substantial directly related experience may be considered above the posted pay range. What You'll Do Working alongside our engineers, surveyors, and project managers, you will assist with the preparation and revision of: Existing-conditions and base plans Subdivision and land-development plans Site-layout and dimensional plans Grading and drainage plans Stormwater-management plans and facilities Erosion and sediment-control plans Sanitary sewer, water, and storm-sewer layouts Utility plans and profiles PennDOT-related plans Record plans and as-built drawings Construction details Municipal and agency review revisions Boundary and topographic survey drawings Responsibilities will vary according to experience. More experienced candidates may independently prepare significant portions of plan sets from engineering direction, survey data, sketches, and redlines. What We're Looking For Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software Strong attention to accuracy, organization, and detail Ability to interpret sketches, redlines, surveys, and technical information Basic understanding of plan scale, dimensions, elevations, contours, and slopes Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines Willingness to learn Chrisland's CAD standards and project workflow Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, surveyors, project managers, and other team members Preferred Experience The following experience is helpful but not required for every candidate: Carlson Civil and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D Civil/site or land-development drafting Grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, or erosion-control plans Boundary and topographic survey drafting Municipal subdivision and land-development plans Pennsylvania municipal, conservation district, PennDOT, or PADEP submissions One or more years of professional CAD experience Certificate or associate degree in CAD, drafting, surveying, civil engineering technology, or a related field Candidates coming from surveying, architectural CAD, construction, or another drafting discipline are encouraged to apply if they have strong CAD skills and an interest in civil land development.
