The Impact You'll Make In this role, you'll apply professional surveying judgment across a diverse portfolio of projects, translating records, data, and field information into accurate, defensible deliverables. You'll guide survey teams, ensure quality standards are met, and play a visible role in advancing projects that support infrastructure, development, and community growth. What You'll Do Analyze and interpret deeds, plats, title reports, and historical survey records Perform complex survey and geomatics calculations to support mapping and platting Lead production of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, existing conditions surveys, subdivision and CIC plats, registered land surveys, right-of-way and routing surveys, and survey exhibits Oversee QA/QC to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations Direct and mentor survey field and office staff, supporting professional development Coordinate project scope, schedules, and deliverables while communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders Support residential and development services through review of lot certifications, grading as-builts, and foundation as-builts Contribute to proposals, estimates, and workload planning as needed What You Bring Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, GIS, or a related field 5+ years of progressive surveying experience Strong command of land surveying principles, practices, and regulations Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and common survey data workflows Experience with survey data processing and adjustment software Working knowledge of modern field equipment and data collection procedures Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Clear communicator with a collaborative, client-focused mindset Preferred Experience Multi-state licensure or ability to obtain additional licenses Familiarity with transportation agency surveying and mapping standards Experience with alternative design platforms Interest or experience with UAS, LiDAR/HD scanning, and advanced data extraction Why This Role Stands Out Employee-centric culture with long-term career paths Strong emphasis on professional development, mentorship, and technical growth Exposure to diverse, technically interesting projects Flexible work environment and supportive leadership Opportunity to influence processes, standards, and team success If you're interested in learning more about the role, the firm, and why this opportunity stands out in today's market, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
