Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in land surveying and civil engineering, with proficiency in various surveying technologies and software. This role involves conducting surveys to determine property boundaries, preparing maps and reports, and collaborating with engineers and architects on construction projects. The Surveyor will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of survey data. Duties Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as GPS, 3D scanners, and traditional surveying tools. Prepare detailed schematics, maps, and ALTA surveys for various projects. Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, Revit, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for drafting and data analysis. Collect and analyze data to determine land features and boundaries. Collaborate with civil engineers to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations. Perform calculations involving trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and other mathematical principles to ensure accuracy in measurements. Assist in the preparation of construction documents and reports based on survey findings. Maintain accurate records of surveys conducted and provide documentation for legal purposes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS applications (ArcGIS). Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and data collection methods using Trimble or similar equipment. Strong mathematical skills including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and drafting capabilities. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders. Valid driver's license is required for travel to various job sites.
