•We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Crew / Party Chief to join our team in

KANSAS CITY KS AND MO

markets . In this vital role, you will lead survey and land development projects by managing field operations, collecting precise data, and ensuring accurate documentation. Your expertise will drive the success of civil engineering, land surveying, and construction projects, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across multiple locations, utilizing cutting-edge technology and industry-leading tools. Responsibilities Lead field crews in land surveying, data collection, and construction site assessments across multiple locations. Operate advanced surveying equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, Trimble systems, and total stations to gather accurate spatial data. Perform complex calculations involving trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math to process survey data and create detailed schematics. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems), ArcGIS, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson, and Civil 3D software for drafting, mapping, and design purposes. Conduct ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, boundary determinations, and schematic drawings for civil engineering projects. Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications while maintaining meticulous records of field activities. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret survey data, prepare reports, and support project planning. Requirements Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering fieldwork with a strong understanding of construction processes. Proficiency in GPS technology, GIS applications like ArcGIS, and CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. Knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math principles essential for precise data analysis. Familiarity with 3D scanners and Trimble equipment for advanced data collection tasks. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Strong leadership skills to manage field crews effectively as a Party Chief or Field Crew Lead. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel between multiple project sites as needed.
