We are currently searching for an experienced Rod Person to support our Southwest Region located in Louisiana. The Rod Person reports to the Party Chief and is responsible for assisting with field surveying activities, including operation and maintenance of survey equipment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn land surveying. This is an entry level position that will require some overnight travel and working outside in all weather conditions. What you'll be doing: Must be physically able to work long hours and carry heavy loads

Possess effective written and oral communication skills

Basic computer literacy and math skills

Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential requirements

Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather

Pass a drug screening & background check What you need to have: High school diploma or equivalent

Safety oriented

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines

Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) Bonus points if you have: One or more years of surveying experience Why Volkert?
