08/15/2026 Mountain Plains, LLC is seeking a driven team member to provide land surveying services to our valued customers. This role integrates technical skills with a combination of office and field time. Responsibilities:
Performing construction staking as well as boundary, as-built and topographic surveying Routing pipelines, roadways, electrical lines and other utilities Selecting and field fitting well pads and construction staging pads Research and identify property ownership, corner records and existing surface rights-of-ways Utilize Trimble GPS, Total Station, and Lazer Level Preparing and managing data files within Trimble Business Center Foster client communication within oil & gas, transportation, utility and private sectors Envision, anticipate, resolve and communicate customers' challenges Operate a company-provided vehicle with trailer & UTV Follow proper processes and procedures to ensure safe work habits
Qualifications:
3-5 years-field survey using GPS or Total Station A surveying license is not required Proficient computer and technical skills Keen analytical & critical thinking skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail focused, problem solving perspective with ability to adapt to changing customer priorities Ability to work in a professional office setting as well as outdoors in adverse weather conditions Physical fitness required to travers 2-5 miles in one day on foot across adverse terrain Must pass pre-hire, post-accident and random drug/alcohol screening & hold valid driver's license We offer: The opportunity to join a high-performing, family-driven team Competitive compensation based on level of education, training, experience and performance Competitive benefits package including health, vision, dental, Health Savings Account, Aflac, Paid Time Off, a generous 401k plan The stage for personal growth, career advancement and professional development Full time or a rotating schedule of 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.
