Position Overview Suncovia Solar, is seeking a Solar Site Surveyor to conduct on-site evaluations of residential properties. This role involves collecting accurate measurements, photos, and technical information needed for solar system design and installation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, enjoys fieldwork, has strong attention to detail, and can communicate professionally with homeowners. This is a piece-rate position . Surveyors are paid $150 per completed survey . Each survey typically takes approximately 1-3 hours to complete, depending on the property and scope of work. Compensation $150 per completed site survey Typical survey time: 1-3 hours per property Additional opportunities available as the company continues to grow Compensation is based on completed surveys rather than an hourly rate Key Responsibilities Visit customer properties throughout Allentown, Pennsylvania to conduct comprehensive site surveys. Perform roof measurements, structural assessments, and shading analyses using provided tools and equipment. Document electrical infrastructure, including service panels, meters, grounding systems, and potential conduit paths. Capture high-quality property photos and complete detailed survey reports using Suncovia Solar's survey software or CRM platform. Evaluate attic spaces, roof conditions, and mounting surfaces for structural integrity and installation feasibility. Communicate professionally with homeowners and property contacts during survey visits. Identify potential installation challenges and clearly communicate findings to engineering and project management teams. Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, particularly when using ladders, accessing roofs, and evaluating electrical systems. Maintain survey equipment and any company-provided vehicle, if assigned. Qualifications Experience in solar, construction, electrical, roofing, inspections, or a related field is preferred. Motivated candidates without direct solar experience are encouraged to apply if they are willing to learn. Ability to safely climb ladders, access roofs and attics, and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and comfort using measuring tools, tablets, and mobile applications. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel throughout Allentown, Pennsylvania . Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Basic knowledge of residential construction or electrical systems is a plus. Preferred Skills Experience with solar design platforms such as Aurora, HelioScope, Solo, or similar software. Drone experience or FAA Part 107 certification. Familiarity with building, roofing, or electrical codes . Previous experience conducting field surveys, inspections, or property assessments. Work Environment Field-based position with travel throughout and surrounding areas . Frequent rooftop, attic, and outdoor work. Work will take place in Reading seasonal weather conditions . Occasional weekend or after-hours availability may be required based on customer scheduling.
